There are a lot of hidden bars popping up in China Town to try. Most are decent, but none top the mystery, craftmanship, and authenticity, as Apotheke. So no matter where you go in lower Manhattan, make sure you stop by for a tonic to heal your ailments from the professional mixologists at Apotheke.
Finding a speakeasy in Downtown Orlando is not an easy feat. The streets quickly become filled with rowdy college students lining up to get into the hottest clubs and night spots; and those of us who prefer a quieter, classier night out are not encouraged to stick around. Hanson’s Shoe Repair is very well hidden and requires multiple steps for entry.
Headed to Charleston we were surprised to find that this hipster foodie town did not have any legitimately hidden bars (none that we could discover anyway), so let us know if we failed and missed something. Even though there were no “speakeasies” to speak of, there were indeed delectable craft cocktail bars that fit our refined taste. One that particularly stood out was The Gin Joint.
