Atwater Alley is a true Texas speakeasy with a mix of Victorian flare and western decor, but rather than go for gimmicks, this bar has the dark vintage atmosphere while maintaining a local bar feel. This is a romantic night out that you keep coming back to with your loved one. There is no menu and classic cocktails are their specialty, nothing seemed over the top, but all were high quality. The entrance is nondescript so you have to know it’s there to find it, and upon entry you can choose between sitting downstairs or upstairs, both which can fill you with the same delectable libations.

Truth & Alibi is a completely different type of speakeasy! If you are looking for something less stuffy and quiet, this is the hidden bar you’ve been looking for. T&A is a party in a vintage style club full of crushed velvet, dark lights, and house music. The bar is more relaxed than the typical craft cocktail bar and it’s mixing up great drinks; we especially loved the Black Bourbon Smash. The staff is fun and the entrance is pretty sweet (pun intended); you can’t help but smile walking through a door full of real candy. This is the place to bring a group of friends for a night on the town. Truth & Alibi is a great place to start and end the night, secret party style! Don’t forget to grab the password off their IG to get in.
